Lokpal is an upcoming Malayalam thriller film directed by Joshiy, produced by Vijayans and S. L. Vimal Kumar, starring Mohanlal and Kavya Madhavan in the lead roles.
The film revolves against corruption.The film is going to shoot on location at Cochin. Filming is expected to begin in October 1st 2012. The pooja was held on Monday, 10 September 2012 at the Holiday Inn Hotel in Cochin, India.
After the Mega Blockbuster Malayalam movie Naduvazhikal, released in 1989, here comes yet another Malayalam movie from the team of Mohanlal-Joshiy-SN Swamy. This new movie, titled asLokpal, will have the magical trio joining after a long gap of about 22 years. This movie name 'Lokpal' is a widely discussed and a popular one, thus making this film one of the most anticipated films in the coming future. This upcoming movie 'Lokpal', scripted by S. N. Swamy and directed by Joshiy, will get produced by S.L. Vimal kumar, Balan Vijayan and M. Vijayakumar, under the banner of Happy & Ruby Cinemas.
S. L. Vimal Kumar is the General Secretary of All Kerala Mohanlal Fans Welfare Association, while Vijayans (Balan Vijayan and M. Vijayakumar) are the founders of Happy and Ruby Group. Pradeep Chandran will be the Executive Producer. Just like any other Joshiy-Mohanlal movie, this one too will be a complete entertainer and is expected to be the first release of Mohanlal in 2013.The soundtrack will be composed by Ratheesh Vegha, with lyrics penned by Rafeeq Ahammed.
