Vishal Bhardwaj was very keen to have Malayalam superstar Mohanlal (actually he is a demi-God in Kerala) in his film Saat Khoon Maaf.Recently rumours had it that Mohanlal backed out of the project because of unavailability of dates. However, an insider says that the reason why the Malayalam supremo reportedly backed out from this project is because he quoted a fee, which Vishal allegedly couldn't cough up. Yes, Mohanlal is amongst India's highest paid actors like Rajinikanth and Chiranjeevi. A Malayalam filmmaker says, "For us Mohanlal is priceless." As far as the Hindi film industry goes, they can only hope to work with him if he chooses to give them a discount. Otherwise he is out of reach for most.
